As you stabilize and progress, you can step down through less intensive levels while keeping the support you need. The continuum of care
Most people move through several levels of care during treatment and recovery — medical detox, residential/inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient, and aftercare. Medical detox
Medically supervised detox manages withdrawal safely with 24/7 clinical monitoring. It is typically the first step for people with a physical dependence on alcohol or other drugs. Learn about our medical detox program.
Residential / inpatient
Residential treatment provides 24/7 care in a structured, supportive environment — ideal when someone needs to step away from daily triggers to focus fully on recovery. Partial hospitalization program (PHP)

Mental health care at Ambrosia is a primary service — not only treatment for co-occurring conditions. Specialized & co-occurring care

Dr. Alam is an internationally renowned psychiatrist with academic affiliations with Northwestern University and University of Illinois, Chicago where he completed his residency training. He has been a principal investigator for over forty studies and has been involved in research leading to the approval of most psychiatric medications currently on the market.
